The site will allow you to choose your destination and will then provide you with a variety of information including which vaccines to consider, information on food/ water, insects, animals, and person- to- person infections.  The site provides a detailed list of items you should include in your travel health kit as well as tips on how to choose a travel health insurance plan.  The Public Health Agency provides a free service to Canadians traveling abroad and by registering for this service it will enable them to reach you in case of an emergency abroad such as an earthquake or civil unrest, or to inform you of an emergency at home.
